“I love the subtle, timeless, scandi rustic vibe and so went for Ian Mankin in Ticking Stripes for my curtains, to frame the windows and complement how I styled this space. I also wanted a fabric that could be versatile so that I could make changes over time, but the curtains would still tie in with the rest of the room.”

At Stitched we are passionate about great interior projects, so we were keen to find out more about Sophie’s home…

What is the best way to find an interior scheme that works? “I use a range of sources to create an interior scheme. Some of my interior schemes are influenced by the local area, location of the house or the style and age of the property. I then use instagram, pinterest and magazines for inspiration. My final step is to create a moodboard to collate all my ideas together for an overall look.”

What is your favourite room and why? “It has to be the new lounge! I love the range of tones, textures and patterns. I am so fond of mixing newer items alongside some carefully curated pre-loved or upcycled pieces to add character and authenticity to the space. Next on the list is the living end of the kitchen and the master bedroom.”

“I wanted a relaxed feel and the blinds provided a feature without taking up too much space as the room is one of our smaller bedrooms. I went for Ian Mankin in Sage to add a texture and pattern whilst keeping the room looking fresh and neutral. They have created a calm and inviting space!”
